January 17th 1914

In the morning I did a few lessons and then went to Braehead to Bernard’s electrical set which he got from Gamage’s. It is not a bad one, being not as much as I secpted though. I stayed for  dinner and then went to the clubroom. After scouting games in Swinton Park I went into Eric Noott’s to tea. After tea we had the trains out and had a very good time. After this I went back to the clubroom and we had songs, description game, etc. In the afternoon I had a ride at Broom Hall on Jones’ motor-bike. I came home with Shaw and Nuttall. Cyril was playing at John St Hall Pendleton for Mr. Crossley.
