January 27th 1914

I went to the Carpenter’s class in the afternoon. I caught the 4.45 train home with Mother and Grannie who had been shopping in town. My French homework took a long time and as I did not finish I had to get up next morning early. Mother went to bed early with a very sore mouth + an abscess which was very painful. Father had to go to town as he missed the post at Eccles. We went to bed at about 10pm.
