January 28th 1914

In the morning it was rather foggy, and we expected the trains to be late; but luck was not our way. However we caught the 8.24 train down. Mr. Mayo gave us a little test on irregular verbs, and I had to stay in. Most of the form went to play Lacrosse and Mayo went to the Photographic Society and of course we didn’t do a scrap of work. I came home by the 3.55 train. We had a good lot of homework + I had to get up early next morning. Cyril and Leach sent a football forecast in, and father, two.
