January 29th 1914

At Breakfast-time I received a post-card from D.S.H. Jones, saying that he would be able to take me with to Rushton in their motor car. Mayo put me on for translation of Caesar and I got through all right. At 3.10 I went to the Glee Society, and caught the 4.15 train home. We had a good lot of homework, with :- Maths, French, Chemistry, Latin and Greek. And at supper time I learnt my repetition because I failed last week in it (Drawing Marks 3, C. 2)
