March 13th 1914

I got up not quite as early as usual. Grandpa again had a seizure in his right hand losing the power of it. The doctor came again, but he does not quite seem to understand the case. In chemistry we did nitric acid. We had a test on Greek, which we did not mark. Mayo put me on for Xenophon again but I got through it all right. After the Starman’s class I went to the Universal Electric Company to buy an electric motor for Bernard It was 17s 8d (27s 3d in Eccles). Parkes came and we did some of the magazine, and father wrote us 4 pages out. Parkes stayed until 9:15.
