Parkes came at 8:30, and we wrote out the next of the magazine, putting in an advertisement for noar (27s for 4 weeks) and one for Matthews (6d for 1 week). Matthews is getting up a paper called the “alpha”, but I don’t think it will go. Ours rejoices in the name of the “Sparklet” We have done 40 copies as we have 34 orders. I think it is a good lot (8pp) for ½d. We went to the clubroom in the afternoon and we scrubbed the floor and whitewashed and distempered. I had a ride on the motorbike. It rained and I got splashed coming home on my bike (mudguardless).
